Educational Qualifications: • Plus two (Science) or its equivalent qualification. • Bachelor's degree in Cardio Vascular Technology course from an NMC recognized University or National Institute established by the Govt. of India or Institution established by the Govt. of Kerala or recognized by the National Medical Commission. • Diploma in Cardio Vascular Technology conducted by Director of Medical Education or from a Medical College/Institution recognized by the National Medical Commission/Diploma in Cath Lab Technology conducted by Sree Chithra Tirunal Institute of Medical Science. Technical Qualifications: • Registration with Kerala Para Medical Council. Experience Required: One year experience as Cath Lab Technician acquired from any Central/State Government Institutions including hospitals in the Defence Sector/Railways/ESI/Autonomous Institutions under Central/State Government. Physical Standards: Not specified Equivalence / KS&SSR Rules: Rule 10(a)(ii) of part II of KS&SSR is applicable. Qualifications recognized by executive orders or standing orders of Government as equivalent to a qualification specified for a post, in the Special Rules and such of those qualifications which pre-suppose the acquisition of the lower qualification prescribed for the post, shall also be sufficient.

Kerala PSC gives the age limit as a range of birth dates, for example “18–36: only candidates born between 02.01.1989 and 01.01.2007 (both dates included)”. Ages are counted on 1 January of the recruitment year, so an upper age of 36 in 2025 means you must be born on or after 2 January 1989. Relaxations move that earliest date back.
With relaxations, the upper age cannot go beyond 50.

Some notifications say relaxations do not apply, and the checker then uses the range as printed. By-transfer posts, special recruitments, NCA notifications and rules for widows are flagged with “Check the notification” instead of a verdict. The qualification guide compares levels only, not subjects. Always confirm in the official notification before you apply.
