18-26. Candidates must be born between 02.01.1997 and 01.01.2005 (both dates included). Usual age relaxation is applicable to Other Backward Classes, SC/ST candidates as per rule 10 (c) of Part II KS&SSR.

Educational Qualifications: • Pass in Plus Two or its equivalent examination. • Preference will be given to those who have diploma in Computer Application. Technical Qualifications: • Must possess current valid Driving Licence of Heavy Passenger Motor Vehicle or Heavy Goods Motor Vehicle or equivalent licence with endorsement. • Driving Licence should be valid through all selection stages including OTR, practical test, physical efficiency test, and interview. Physical Standards: Must be physically fit and possess specified physical and visual standards (Height: 165 cm for general, 160 cm for SC/ST; Weight: 50 kg for general, 48 kg for SC/ST; Chest: 81 cm normal, 5 cm expansion for general; 76 cm normal, 5 cm expansion for SC/ST. Visual standards: Distant vision 6/6 Snellen for both eyes, Near vision 0.5 Snellen for both eyes, Field of vision full). Equivalence / KS&SSR Rules: KS & SSR Part II Rule 10(a)(ii) is applicable.

Kerala PSC gives the age limit as a range of birth dates, for example “18–36: only candidates born between 02.01.1989 and 01.01.2007 (both dates included)”. Ages are counted on 1 January of the recruitment year, so an upper age of 36 in 2025 means you must be born on or after 2 January 1989. Relaxations move that earliest date back.
With relaxations, the upper age cannot go beyond 50.

Some notifications say relaxations do not apply, and the checker then uses the range as printed. By-transfer posts, special recruitments, NCA notifications and rules for widows are flagged with “Check the notification” instead of a verdict. The qualification guide compares levels only, not subjects. Always confirm in the official notification before you apply.
