Educational Qualifications: • Passed Plus Two (+2) examination or equivalent qualification. • Note: In the absence of qualified candidates, those who have passed 8th Standard will also be considered. Physical Standards: Height: Minimum 160 cm (155 cm for ST). Chest: Minimum 76 cm with a minimum expansion of 5 cm (72 cm with 5 cm expansion for ST). Vision: Must possess standard of vision without glasses (Distant Vision: Right 6/6 Snellen, Left 6/6 Snellen; Near Vision: Right 0.5 Snellen, Left 0.5 Snellen; Colour Vision and Night Blindness requirements as per notification). Physical Efficiency Test: Must pass at least 3 events out of 8 in the National Physical Efficiency Test one-star standard. Equivalence / KS&SSR Rules: KS&SSR Part II Rule 10(a)ii is applicable.

Kerala PSC gives the age limit as a range of birth dates, for example “18–36: only candidates born between 02.01.1989 and 01.01.2007 (both dates included)”. Ages are counted on 1 January of the recruitment year, so an upper age of 36 in 2025 means you must be born on or after 2 January 1989. Relaxations move that earliest date back.
With relaxations, the upper age cannot go beyond 50.

Some notifications say relaxations do not apply, and the checker then uses the range as printed. By-transfer posts, special recruitments, NCA notifications and rules for widows are flagged with “Check the notification” instead of a verdict. The qualification guide compares levels only, not subjects. Always confirm in the official notification before you apply.
