Who can apply

Kerala PSC recruitment notification for the post of Scientific Officer (Biology) in Kerala Police Service (Forensic Science Laboratory). Category No: 113/2022. Vacancies: SC/ST-1(One), ST only -1(One). Scale of Pay: ₹ 51400-110300/-. Method of Appointment: Direct Recruitment (Special Recruitment from Scheduled Castes/ Scheduled Tribes & Scheduled Tribes Only). Applications must be submitted online on or before 01-06-2022 through Kerala PSC One Time Registration.

Age limit

20-41. Only Candidates born between 02.01.1981 and 01.01.2002 (both dates included) are eligible. In the absence of qualified candidates within the age limit, the upper age limit shall be relaxed up to 50 years. Check your age for this post with your date of birth and category

Qualifications

Educational Qualifications: • Post Graduate Degree in Botany/Zoology with not less than 50% marks from a recognised University. Technical Qualifications: • M.Phil Degree in Botany/Zoology from a recognised University (Preferential). • Two years Research/Analytical experience in Botany/Zoology from a recognised Institution (Preferential). Experience Required: Two years Research/Analytical experience in Botany/Zoology from a recognised Institution (Preferential). Experience must be acquired after obtaining the basic essential Post Graduate qualification. Physical Standards: Candidates must be certified to possess the visual standards: Distant Vision (Right Eye 6/6 Snellen, Left Eye 6/6 Snellen), Near Vision (Right Eye 0.5 Snellen, Left Eye 0.5 Snellen). Each eye must have a full field of vision and colour blindness will be a disqualification. Equivalence / KS&SSR Rules: Rule 10(a)(ii) of part II of KS&SSR is applicable. Candidates claiming higher/equivalent qualifications must produce relevant Government Order/certificate at the time of verification.

General conditions from the notification
Appointment is subject to the rank secured in the ranked list and relevant Government Orders regarding special reservations for SC/ST. Candidates must undergo 6 months training. Probation period is two years on duty within a continuous period of three years. A bond must be executed to serve the State Government for a minimum period of 5 years after training, failing which a sum of Rs. 25,000 plus training costs is liable to be paid.
