Who can apply

Kerala PSC recruitment notification for the post of Higher Secondary School Teacher (Home Science) in Kerala Higher Secondary Education. Category No: 158/2013. Vacancies: 1(One). Scale of Pay: Rs.19240 – 34500/-. Method of Appointment: Direct Recruitment. Applications must be submitted online on or before 31-07-2013 through Kerala PSC One Time Registration.

Age limit

20 – 40. Only candidates born between 02.01.1973 and 01.01.1993 (both dates included) are eligible to apply. Relaxation in upper age limit upto 43 years as on 01.01.2013 for qualified Ministerial Staff under Higher Secondary Education Department. Qualifications

Educational Qualifications: • Master’s Degree in the concerned subject with not less than 50% marks from any of the Universities in Kerala or a qualification recognized as equivalent thereto. • B.Ed in the concerned subject acquired after a regular course of study from any of the Universities in Kerala or a qualification recognized as equivalent thereto. • In the absence of persons with B.Ed in the concerned subject, B.Ed degree in the concerned faculty as specified in the Acts and Statutes of any of the Universities in Kerala. • In the absence of persons with B.Ed as specified above, B.Ed degree in any subject acquired after a regular course of study from any of the Universities in Kerala or a qualification recognized as equivalent thereto. Technical Qualifications: • Must have passed the State Eligibility Test (SET) for the post of Higher Secondary School Teachers conducted by Government of Kerala or by the agency authorized by the State Government. Experience Required: Not specified, but teachers with 10 years of approved teaching service at the High School level in the General Education Subordinate Service are exempted from SET. Physical Standards: Not applicable Equivalence / KS&SSR Rules: Persons who have acquired M.Ed. in the subject concerned recognised by any University in Kerala are exempted from B.Ed qualification.
General conditions from the notification
The list of selected candidates shall remain in force for a minimum period of one year and up to three years. 3% of vacancies are reserved for PH candidates (Locomotor disability/Cerebral Palsy, Blindness, Low vision). Refer to Part II of the General Conditions for details on age relaxation, photo, ID card, etc.
