Kerala PSC recruitment notification for the post of High School Assistant (Physical Science) Malayalam Medium in Education. Category No: 620/2017. Vacancies: District wise: Thiruvananthapuram – 4, Palakkad – 6, Kasaragod – 1. Scale of Pay: 29200-62400/- (Revised). Method of Appointment: Direct Recruitment (from candidates belonging to Scheduled Tribe community only). Applications must be submitted online on or before 31-01-2018 through Kerala PSC One Time Registration.

Age limit

18-45. Only candidates born between 02.01.1972 and 01.01.1999 (both dates included) are eligible. Maximum age limit shall in no case exceed 50 years including all relaxations. Check your age for this post with your date of birth and category

Qualifications

Educational Qualifications: • A Degree in the concerned subject and B.Ed/BT in the concerned subject, both conferred or recognized by the Universities in Kerala. • Post Graduates in the concerned subject with B.Ed/BT in the concerned subject are also eligible. • Diploma in Rural Service awarded by the National Council for Rural Higher Education will also be treated as equivalent to Degree. • B.Sc Ed in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics stream conducted by the Regional Institute of Education, Mysore of NCERT are also eligible. Technical Qualifications: • Must have passed the Kerala Teacher Eligibility Test (K-TET) for this post conducted by the Government of Kerala. • Exemption: Candidates who have qualified CTET/NET/SET/M.Phil/Ph.D/M.Ed in the respective subjects are exempted from acquiring TET. Experience Required: Not applicable Physical Standards: Not applicable Equivalence / KS&SSR Rules: Rule 10(a)(ii) of Part II of the KS&SSR will be applicable. The applicant should have taken Physics/Chemistry as main subject for graduation. Degree in Geology (Main) with Physics and Chemistry as subsidiary subjects with B.Ed. Degree (Physical Science) can also be considered as an alternative qualification.

Candidates must register via One Time Registration. Applications submitted by communities other than those notified will be rejected. Selection is on a revenue district basis. Candidates already in Government service holding the same post are prohibited from applying. Rules regarding transfer and probation apply as per KS&SSR.
