Who can apply

Kerala PSC recruitment notification for the post of Draftsman Grade II/Town Planning Surveyor Grade II in Local Self Government Department (Group IV Planning Wing). Category No: 682/2023. Age limit

18-36. Only candidates born between 02/01/1987 and 01/01/2005 (both dates included) are eligible to apply for this post with usual age relaxation to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Communities. Check your age for this post with your date of birth and category

Qualifications

Educational Qualifications: • S.S.L.C. or its equivalent • Diploma in Civil Engineering (2 years course) of Women's Polytechnic or any other qualification recognised by Government as equivalent thereto. • Pass in V.H.S.E. Draftsmanship in Building Technology or Quantity Surveying and Surveying. Technical Qualifications: • Group Certificate under K.G.T.E or M.G.T.E (Group Certificate will include all the four groups viz., Building Drawing, Building Construction, Survey and Irrigation.) • Pass in the following eight subjects under K.G.T.E/M.G.T.E. viz. (1) Surveying and Levelling (Higher) (2) Applied Mechanics (Higher) (3) Building Materials and Construction (Higher/Lower) (4) Hydraulics and Irrigation (Higher) (5) Building Drawing and Estimating (Higher) (6) Earthwork and Road making (Higher) (7) Geometrical Drawing (Lower) (8) Mensuration (Lower) • National Apprenticeship Certificate (Surveyor) • National Apprenticeship Certificate (Civil) • National Trade Certificate (Surveyor) • National Trade Certificate (Draftsman Civil) • State Trade Certificate (Surveyor) • State Trade Certificate (Draftsman Civil) Physical Standards: 3% of the vacancies for the post shall be reserved for differently abled candidates with Locomotor disability/Cerebral palsy, Hearing impairment. Differently abled Candidates with Low Vison/Blind are not identified suitable for this post. Equivalence / KS&SSR Rules: Rule 10(a)(ii) of Part II of KS & SSR is applicable.
