Who can apply

Kerala PSC recruitment notification for the post of Draftsman Gr I in Kerala Port Department (Hydrographic Survey Wing). Category No: 247/2021. Vacancies: 01 (One). Scale of Pay: ₹ 37,400 - 79,000/-. Method of Appointment: Direct Recruitment. Applications must be submitted online on or before 08-09-2021 through Kerala PSC One Time Registration.

Age limit

18-36. Candidates should have been born between 02.01.1985 and 01.01.2003 (both dates included). Usual relaxations to Other Backward Classes, SC/ST candidates are applicable. Check your age for this post with your date of birth and category

Qualifications

Educational Qualifications: • Pass in Education Test I of the Indian Navy. • OR • SSLC or equivalent qualification or any other equivalent qualification recognized by the Government. Technical Qualifications: • Pass in Surveyor Recorder Class II Examination conducted by the Hydrographic Branch of the Indian Navy with two years experience in the trade of Surveyor Recorder II Grade out of which at least one year shall be in Marine Surveying in a Survey Ship in the grade of Surveyor Recorder II Grade. • OR • Diploma in Civil Engineering awarded by a Board of Public Examination or any other recognized Government Board. Experience Required: Two years experience in the trade of Surveyor Recorder II Grade out of which at least one year shall be in Marine Surveying in a Survey Ship in the grade of Surveyor Recorder II Grade (applicable for those with Indian Navy qualification). Experience should be acquired after obtaining basic educational qualification. Not mandatory for SC/ST candidates, but they must acquire it after joining. Equivalence / KS&SSR Rules: KS&SSR Part II Rule 10(a)(ii) is applicable.
General conditions from the notification
The Ranked list published in response to this notification shall cease to be in force after one year from the date of finalization of the ranked list or after three years, whichever is earlier. Candidates appointed to the post shall be on probation for a total period of two years on duty within a continuous period of three years.
