Who can apply

Age limit

21-39. Only candidates born between 02.01.1983 and 01.01.2001 (both dates included) are eligible to apply for this post. [including para 2(i) of General Conditions]. Check your age for this post with your date of birth and category

Qualifications

Educational Qualifications: • Pass in SSLC or its equivalent. • A Diploma in Automobile Engineering or Mechanical Engineering (3 year course) awarded by the State Board of Technical Education or any institution recognized by Central Government or State Government. • Any qualification in either of the above disciplines declared as equivalent to the above Diplomas by the Central Government or the State Government. Technical Qualifications: • Must hold a current valid Driving License authorizing him to Drive Motor Cycle, Heavy Goods Vehicle and Heavy Passenger Motor Vehicle. Physical Standards: Must be Physically Fit and possess minimum physical standards (Height: Male 165 cm, Female 152 cm; Chest: Male 81 cm normal with 5 cm expansion) and specified visual standards without glasses (Distant vision 6/6 snellen, Near vision 0.5 snellen for both eyes with full field of vision; no color blindness, squint, or morbid conditions). Equivalence / KS&SSR Rules: KS&SSR Part-II Rule 10 (a) (ii) is applicable. Equivalency orders to be produced as and when required.
General conditions from the notification
Candidates are required to acquaint themselves with the instructions given in the notification as Part II, General Conditions before submitting application. Probation: Two years on duty within a continuous period of three years. Training: 10 months as per schedule notified by Transport Commissioner.
