Category No: 496/2019. Vacancies: Anticipated. Scale of Pay: Rs.30700 – 65400. Method of Appointment: By Direct Recruitment from qualified Executive Staff working in the Jails department who are approved probationers in any post in the department.. Applications must be submitted online on or before 05-02-2020 through Kerala PSC One Time Registration.

Age limit

18-36. Only candidates born between 02.01.1983 and 01.01.2001 (both dates included) are eligible to apply for this post. Candidates belonging to SC/ST and other Backward communities are eligible for age relaxation as per rules. Check your age for this post with your date of birth and category

Qualifications

Educational Qualifications: • Bachelor Degree of a recognized University. Physical Standards: Must be physically fit and possess minimum physical standards: Height at least 165 cms (160 cms for SC/ST), Chest at least 81.3 cms round the chest on full expiration with a chest expansion of 5 cm. Standards of Vision without glasses: Distant Vision (Right Eye 6/6 Snellen, Left Eye 6/6 Snellen), Near Vision (Right Eye 0.5 Snellen, Left Eye 0.5 Snellen). Full field of vision, no colour blindness, squint, or morbid conditions. Free from apparent physical defects like knock-knee, flat foot, varicose veins, etc. Must qualify in at least 5 out of 8 items in the Physical Efficiency Test. Equivalence / KS&SSR Rules: KS & SSR Rule 10(a)(ii) Part II applicable. Candidates claiming equivalent qualification shall produce relevant Government order at the time of verification.

General conditions from the notification
The list of selected candidates published shall remain in force for a minimum period of one year up to a maximum of three years. Rules of reservation and rotation prescribed in rules 14 to 17 of Part II KS&SSR 1957 will not apply. Probation period is two years on duty within a continuous period of three years.
