Who can apply

Kerala PSC recruitment notification for the post of Assistant Crane Driver (Electrical) in Port. Category No: 201/2016. Vacancies: District wise: Kollam – 2 (Two), Kozhikode – 8 (Eight). Scale of Pay: 17,000 – 37,500/-. Method of Appointment: Direct Recruitment. Applications must be submitted online on or before 31-08-2016 through Kerala PSC One Time Registration.

Age limit

19-36 Years. Candidates born between 02.01.1980 and 01.01.1997 (both dates included) are eligible. Usual relaxation for Other Backward Communities and SC/ST candidates. Maximum age limit shall in no case exceed 50 years. Check your age for this post with your date of birth and category

Qualifications

Technical Qualifications: • Preference will be given to those who possess a Boiler Attendant Certificate (Second class). Experience Required: Practical experience for a period of not less than 6 months as a Fitter or Mechanic in a mechanical workshop. Physical Standards: Distant Vision: 6/6 snellen (Right and Left Eye). Near Vision: Reads 0.6 snellen (Right and Left Eye). Squint or any morbid condition of the eyes or eyelids (e.g. Trachoma) shall be a disqualification. Equivalence / KS&SSR Rules: KS&SSR Part II Rule 10(a)(ii) is applicable for selection to this post.

General conditions from the notification
Probation: 2 years on duty within a continuous period of 3 years. Selected candidates should undergo training under Steam Crane Driver for a period of not less than one month. Applications should not be submitted to more than one District. Selection is on a Revenue District basis subject to G.O.(MS) No. 154/71/PD dated 27.05.1971.
