Who can apply

Kerala PSC recruitment notification for the post of Assistant Crane Driver (Electrical) in Port. Category No: 124/2017. Vacancies: District wise: Kannur – 01 (One). Scale of Pay: 17,000 – 37,500/-. Method of Appointment: Direct Recruitment. Applications must be submitted online on or before 05-07-2017 through Kerala PSC One Time Registration.

Age limit

19-36 Years. Candidates born between 02.01.1981 and 01.01.1998 (both dates included) are eligible to apply. Usual relaxation for Other Backward Communities and SC/ST candidates. Maximum age limit shall in no case exceed 50 years. Check your age for this post with your date of birth and category

Qualifications

Technical Qualifications: • Practical experience for a period of not less than 6 months as a Fitter or Mechanic in a mechanical workshop. • Preference will be given to those who possess a Boiler Attendant Certificate (Second class). Experience Required: Practical experience for a period of not less than 6 months as a Fitter or Mechanic in a mechanical workshop. Physical Standards: Distant Vision: 6/6 snellen (Right & Left Eye). Near Vision: Reads 0.6 snellen (Right & Left Eye). Squint or any morbid condition of the eyes or eyelids (e.g. Trachoma) shall be a disqualification. Equivalence / KS&SSR Rules: KS&SSR Part II Rule 10(a)(ii) is applicable for selection to this post.
General conditions from the notification
Selection on Revenue District basis. Candidates advised for appointment are not eligible for transfer to another district until 5 years of continuous service. Probation period of 2 years on duty within a continuous period of 3 years. Selected candidates must undergo training under Steam Crane Driver for not less than one month.
