Qualifications

Educational Qualifications: • Must be a Graduate Experience Required: None Physical Standards: Height: 160 cms (Without footwear); Chest: 76 cms with minimum expansion of 5 cms; Vision: Distant vision 6/6 snellen (both eyes), Near vision 0.5 snellen (both eyes), Field of Vision: Full. Must be physically fit and free from physical defects like knock knee, flat feet, varicose veins, bow legs, deformed limbs, irregular and protruding teeth, defective speech and hearing. Equivalence / KS&SSR Rules: Part II Rule 10(a)ii of KS&SSR regarding qualification is applicable. If sufficient number of fully qualified candidates are not available, applications of those who have passed Pre-University/Pre-Degree or equivalent examination of a recognized University shall be considered.

General conditions from the notification
Candidates must undergo training for one year. On appointment, they will be on probation for two years on duty within a continuous period of three years. Every person appointed shall execute a bond to serve the department for a minimum period of five years. Candidates must qualify in a physical efficiency test (at least five of the eight events of one star standard).
