Kerala PSC recruitment notification for the post of Armed Police Sub Inspector (Trainee) in Police (Armed Police Battalion). Category No: 446/2025 - 447/2025. Vacancies: Anticipated Vacancies. Scale of Pay: ₹ 45,600 – 95,600/-. Method of Appointment: Direct Recruitment (I. Category No: 446/2025 - Open Market, II. Category No: 447/2025 - Constabulary [Direct Recruitment from among the Graduate Head Constables, Police Constables and officers of corresponding rank in Police or Vigilance Department]). Applications must be submitted online on or before 31-12-2025 through Kerala PSC One Time Registration.

Age limit

Category - I (Open Market): 20-31 years. Only candidates born between 02.01.1994 and 01.01.2005 (both dates included) are eligible with usual relaxation to SC, ST and Other Backward Communities. Category - II (Constabulary): 20-36 years. Only candidates born between 02.01.1989 and 01.01.2005 (both dates included) are eligible. Qualifications

Educational Qualifications: • Must be a Graduate. • Only in the absence of sufficient number of qualified SC/ST candidates, applications of SC/ST candidates who have passed Intermediate/Pre University Examinations of a recognized University shall be considered only to fill up the quota reserved for them under Category (i) (As per G.O(Ms)No. 239/Home dated 04.05.1961). Physical Standards: Must be Physically Fit. Height: 167 cm (160 cm for SC/ST candidates). Chest Measurement: 81 cm with minimum expansion of 5 cm (76 cm with 5 cm expansion for SC/ST candidates). Visual Standards without glasses: Distant Vision - 6/6 snellen (Right & Left Eye), Near Vision - 0.5 snellen (Right & Left Eye). Full field of vision in each eye. Free from colour blindness, squint, morbid conditions, knock-knee, flat feet, varicose veins, bow legs, deformed limbs, irregular and protruding teeth, defective speech and hearing. Equivalence / KS&SSR Rules: KS&SSR Part-II Rule 10(a)(ii) is applicable. Government Orders declaring equivalent/higher qualifications shall be produced when called for.
