Who can apply

Kerala PSC recruitment notification for the post of Driver (HDV) in Excise. Category No: 774/2014. Vacancies: Alappuzha – OBC – 1 (One). Scale of Pay: 9190 – 15780/-. Method of Appointment: Direct Recruitment (From candidates belonging to OBC reservation community only). Applications must be submitted online on or before 04-02-2015 through Kerala PSC One Time Registration.

Age limit

21- 42. Only candidates born between 02-01-1972 and 01-01-1993 (both dates included) are eligible to apply. Maximum age limit shall in no case exceed 50 years. Check your age for this post with your date of birth and category

Qualifications

Educational Qualifications: • A Pass in Standard VII (New) or its equivalent Technical Qualifications: • Must possess valid Heavy Duty Driving Licence of three years standing with endorsement for driving HP & HG Vehicles and Badge • Proficiency in Driving Heavy goods/passenger Motor Vehicles which is to be proved by a practical test including H test and road test Experience Required: Three years standing in Heavy Duty Driving Licence Physical Standards: Must not be less than 165 cm in height and 83 cm round the chest with a minimum expansion of 4 cm. Hearing should be perfect. Distant Vision: 6/6 Snellen (both eyes), Near Vision: 0.5 Snellen (both eyes), Colour Vision: Normal, Night blindness: Nil. Each eye must have full field of vision. Equivalence / KS&SSR Rules: KS&SSR Part II Rule 10 (a)(ii) is applicable.

Selection is on a Revenue District basis. Candidates advised for appointment are not eligible for transfer to another district until they complete 5 years of continuous service. Probation period is 2 years on duty within a continuous period of 3 years.
