Kerala PSC recruitment notification for the post of Sergeant (Part I-Direct Recruitment & Recruitment by Transfer) in Various. Category No: 716/2022-717/2022. Vacancies: Districtwise (Kollam: 01, Pathanamthitta: 02, Thrissur: 01, Kannur: 01). Scale of Pay: ₹ 31100-66800/-. Method of Appointment: By Direct Recruitment & Recruitment By Transfer from any other class, category or service. Applications must be submitted online on or before 01-02-2023 through Kerala PSC One Time Registration.

Age limit

Direct Recruitment: 18-36. Only candidates born between 02.01.1986 and 01.01.2004 (both dates included) are eligible. Usual age relaxations apply for Other Backward Communities, SC/ST, and Ex-Servicemen. Maximum age limit shall in no case exceed 50 years. Recruitment By Transfer: Not applicable. Qualifications

Educational Qualifications: • SSLC or equivalent (applicable for item 3 under qualifications) Technical Qualifications: • A working knowledge in Malayalam, or Tamil or Kannada shall be an essential qualification. Experience Required: (1) Must be a pensioned Junior Commissioned Officer of the Army or equivalent in the Navy or Air Force. OR (2) In the absence of candidates with qualification (1), candidates with literacy in English and ten years Military Service in the Army, Navy or Air Force. OR (3) In the absence of qualified hands under (1) and (2), SSLC or equivalent with ten years service in the Police Force under the State Government or six months Military Training. Physical Standards: Height - 167 cms (160 cms for SC/ST candidates). Chest - 81 cms with minimum expansion of 5 cms (76 cms with minimum expansion of 5 cms for SC/ST candidates). Visual standards with glasses: Distant Vision 6/6 Snellen (Right & Left Eye), Near Vision 0.5 Snellen (Right & Left Eye). Full field of vision required. Free from colour blindness, squint, morbid conditions, and apparent physical defects like knock knee, flat foot, varicose veins, bow legs, deformed limbs, irregular/protruding teeth, defective speech and hearing. Equivalence / KS&SSR Rules: Rule 10 a (ii) of Part II of KS&SSR is applicable.
