Kerala PSC recruitment notification for the post of Assistant Professor in Surgical Gastroenterology in Medical Education. Category No: 686/2025. Vacancies: 04 (Four). Scale of Pay: As per UGC norms. Method of Appointment: Direct Recruitment. Applications must be submitted online on or before 04-02-2026 through Kerala PSC One Time Registration.

Age limit

Qualifications

Educational Qualifications: • M.Ch/DNB/DrNB in Surgical Gastroenterology • OR MS/DNB in General Surgery with required experience Technical Qualifications: • Have completed the Basic Course in Biomedical Research from recognized medical institution designated by the National Medical Commission. • Permanent Registration under Kerala State Medical Council (TCMC)/ Council for Modern Medicine Experience Required: At least three years of experience in a medical institution with an exclusive department or unit dedicated to the specialty, having separate and dedicated infrastructure and faculty members who are not concurrently shown as part of any other department or unit OR in an institute of national importance OR in a reputed or recognized institute of excellence in India or abroad, approved by the National Medical Commission, running a department or unit dedicated to the specified specialty, along with at least two research publications in the concerned specialty during the three years period specified and must be amongst first three authors. Equivalence / KS&SSR Rules: Rule 10(a) ii of Part II of KS & SSR is applicable. Qualifications are as per NMC Regulations 2025, Medical Institutions (Qualification of Faculty) Regulations 2025 dated 30.06.2025.
General conditions from the notification
Candidates are required to acquaint themselves with the general conditions given in Part II of the Gazette notification. Applications not submitted in accordance with terms and conditions are liable to be rejected. Those appointed should serve for four (4) years during the first ten (10) years of their service anywhere in India or abroad under Defence Services if required.
