Qualifications

Educational Qualifications: • Post Graduate Degree in the concerned subject with not less than 50% marks from any of the Universities in Kerala or a qualification recognized as equivalent thereto in the concerned subject by any University in Kerala. • B.Ed Degree in the concerned subject acquired after a regular course of study from any of the Universities in Kerala or a qualification recognized as equivalent thereto by any University in Kerala. • In the absence of candidates with B.Ed Degree in the concerned subject, B.Ed Degree in the concerned faculty as specified in the Acts and Statutes of any of the Universities in Kerala. • In the absence of the above, B.Ed Degree in any subject acquired after a regular course of study from any of the Universities in Kerala or a qualification recognized as equivalent thereto by any University in Kerala. Technical Qualifications: • Must have passed the State Eligibility Test (SET) for the post of Non-Vocational Teacher conducted by Government of Kerala or by any agency authorized by the Government of Kerala. Experience Required: None Physical Standards: Not applicable Equivalence / KS&SSR Rules: KS&SSR Part II Rule 10(a)(ii) is applicable. M.Ed degree in the concerned subject recognized by any University in Kerala is exempted from the B.Ed qualification.
General conditions from the notification
Candidates must be LP/UP School teachers in the Kerala General Education Subordinate Service. Probation period is two years within a continuous service of three years. KS&SSR Part II Rule 14-17 regarding reservation is not applicable for this selection.
