Who can apply

Kerala PSC recruitment notification for the post of Fire and Rescue Officer (Driver)(Trainee) in Fire and Rescue Services. Category No: 552/2025. Vacancies: Anticipated. Scale of Pay: ₹ 27,900 - 63,700/-. Method of Appointment: Direct Recruitment. Applications must be submitted online on or before 14-01-2026 through Kerala PSC One Time Registration.

Age limit

18-26. Only candidates born between 02.01.1999 and 01.01.2007 (both dates included) are eligible to apply for this post. Other Backward Communities, Scheduled caste converts and SC/ST candidates are eligible for usual age relaxation as provided under sub rule (c) of the Rule 10 of the general rules. Qualifications

Educational Qualifications: • Must have passed Plus Two or its equivalent examination. Technical Qualifications: • Must possess valid current Motor Driving License with endorsement for driving heavy goods vehicle or heavy passenger vehicles with badge. • Candidates shall possess a current valid Driving License throughout all the stages of selection process ie. as on the last date of application, OMR Test, Practical Test, Physical Efficiency test etc. Physical Standards: Must be physically fit. General Candidates: Height 165 cms, Weight 50 kgs, Chest 81 cms, Chest Expansion 5 cms. SC/ST Candidates: Height 160 cms, Weight 48 kgs, Chest 76 cms, Chest Expansion 5 cms. Visual Standards without glasses: Distant Vision Right Eye 6/6 Snellen, Left Eye 6/6 Snellen; Near Vision Right Eye 0.5 Snellen, Left Eye 0.5 Snellen; Field of Vision Full. Must qualify in at least 5 out of 8 items in the National physical efficiency One Star Standard test. Equivalence / KS&SSR Rules: KS & SSR Part II Rule 10 (a) (ii) is applicable.
