Kerala PSC recruitment notification for the post of Female Assistant Prison Officer in Prisons. Category No: 495/2021 – 496/2021. Vacancies: Statewide: 495/2021 (Scheduled Tribe) - 1, 496/2021 (Scheduled Caste Converted to Christianity) - 1. Scale of Pay: ₹ 20,000-45,800/- (PR). Method of Appointment: Direct Recruitment (Statewide) from candidates belonging to ST & SCCC communities only. Applications must be submitted online on or before 01-12-2021 through Kerala PSC One Time Registration.

Age limit

For ST: 18–41 (born between 02.01.1980 and 01.01.2003). For SCCC: 18-39 (born between 02.01.1982 and 01.01.2003). Note: Candidates belonging to SCCC who converted from SC after attaining 18 years and children of such parents (born between 02.01.1980 and 01.01.2003) are eligible with age limit 18-41. Qualifications

Educational Qualifications: • Pass in SSLC or its equivalent qualification Experience Required: Not applicable Physical Standards: Must have at least 150 cm height. Must possess specified visual standards (Distant Vision 6/6 Snellen, Near Vision 0.5 Snellen, full field of vision, no colour blindness/squint). Must be free from physical defects like knock knee, flat foot, varicose veins, bow legs, deformed limbs, irregular/protruding teeth, defective speech/hearing. Must qualify in any five events out of eight in the National Physical Efficiency One Star Standard Test. Equivalence / KS&SSR Rules: Rule 10(a)(ii) of Part II of the KS & SSR is applicable

General conditions from the notification
Candidates must be on probation for two years on duty within a continuous period of three years. Must undergo in-service training and pass Kerala Jail subordinate officers test. Statewise seniority maintained. Disciplinary action as per Rule 22 for bogus claims. Confirmation for exam is mandatory.
