Age limit

OBC Candidates: 18-29 (born between 02.01.1996 and 01.01.2007). SC Candidates: 18-31 (born between 02.01.1994 and 01.01.2007). Upper age limit relaxed up to 41 years for Ex-servicemen and up to 5 years for those with horse riding experience in Indian Armed Forces/Central Armed Police Forces/National Police Academy or worked in Mounted Police Units of other States. Qualifications

Educational Qualifications: • Must have passed Higher Secondary Examination or its equivalent. Technical Qualifications: • Must have minimum one year experience in horse riding from a firm / Sports Club having registration under State / Central Government or State Sports Council / Sports Authority of India. • Proficiency test on the respective subjects prior to appointment (Practical Test conducted by Kerala Public Service Commission). Experience Required: Minimum one year experience in horse riding acquired after obtaining the academic or other basic qualifications. Physical Standards: Height: Not less than 168 cm (161 cm for SC/ST candidates). Chest: Not less than 81 cm with minimum expansion of 5 cm (76 cm with 5 cm expansion for SC/ST candidates). Physical Efficiency Test: Qualify in any 5 events out of 8 items of national physical efficiency one star standard test. Eye sight: Distant Vision 6/6 Snellen, Near Vision 0.5 Snellen without glasses, with full field of vision and free from color blindness, squint, or morbid conditions. Equivalence / KS&SSR Rules: Rule 10 (a) (ii) of Part II of the KS&SSR is applicable. Government orders regarding equivalent/higher qualifications shall be produced when called for.

Applications submitted by candidates belonging to communities other than notified will be summarily rejected. Differently abled candidates and female candidates are not eligible. Probation period of two years on duty within a continuous period of three years after pre-service training of nine months. Security bond must be executed to serve the State Government.
