Qualifications

Educational Qualifications: • Must have passed SSLC or equivalent examination. Experience Required: None Physical Standards: Height: Minimum 160 cm. Chest: Minimum 76 cm (with minimum 5 cm expansion). Vision: Must be certified to have vision standards without glasses: Distant Vision (6/6 Snellen for both eyes), Near Vision (0.5 Snellen for both eyes). Must be free from physical defects like knock knee, flat foot, varicose vein, bow legs, deformed hands and limbs, irregular and protruding teeth, defective speech and hearing. Equivalence / KS&SSR Rules: KS&SSR Part II Rule 10(a)(ii) is applicable. Candidates claiming equivalent qualification must produce the Government Order/Certificate proving equivalency at the time of certificate verification.

General conditions from the notification
Candidates must undergo a physical efficiency test (must qualify in at least 5 out of 8 items of the National Physical Efficiency Test). Selected candidates must undergo 9 months of training at a Police Training College or other institution designated by the Government/State Police Chief. Probation period is 2 years within a continuous service period of 3 years.
