Qualifications
Educational Qualifications:
• Pass in Higher Secondary Education Examination (Plus Two) or its equivalent.
Technical Qualifications:
• Must Possess current valid Driving Licence for Motor Cycle with Gear, Light Motor Vehicles, Heavy Passenger Vehicles and Heavy Goods Vehicles with Driver's Badge.
• Proficiency in driving Light Motor Vehicles/Heavy Passenger Vehicles/Heavy Goods Vehicles, which is to be proved in a practical test conducted by Kerala Public Service Commission during the course of selection.
Experience Required:
Ex-servicemen (Military and Central Armed Police Forces) who worked as drivers in their service.
Physical Standards:
Height: Not less than 168 cm (161 cm for SC/ST candidates). Chest: Not less than 81 cm with minimum expansion of 5 cm (76 cm with 5 cm expansion for SC/ST). Must have sound health, free from apparent physical defects. Distant Vision: 6/6 Snellen for right and left eye without glasses. Near Vision: 0.5 Snellen for right and left eye. Must qualify in any 5 events out of 8 items of the national physical efficiency one star standard test.
Equivalence / KS&SSR Rules:
Rule 10(a)(ii) of Part II of the KS&SSR is applicable. Government orders regarding equivalent/higher qualifications shall be produced when called for.

General conditions from the notification⌄
Applications submitted by candidates belonging to communities other than those notified will be summarily rejected. Differently abled and woman candidates are not eligible. Candidates must produce medical certificates for vision and physical fitness. Probation period is two years on duty within a continuous period of three years. Execution of a security bond to serve the State Government is mandatory.
