Qualifications

Educational Qualifications: • Diploma in Civil Engineering or Mechanical Engineering from Kerala University or equivalent qualification. Technical Qualifications: • Licentiate Diploma in Civil or Mechanical Engineering from Technical Institutes at Kozhikode, Kalamassery, Thrissur or equivalent course. • Upper or Lower Subordinate Diploma from Guindy Engineering College. • KGTE or MGTE Group Certificate with 1) Building Drawing, 2) Building Construction, 3) Survey, 4) Irrigation. Alternatively, pass in 8 specific subjects: Surveying and Levelling (Higher), Applied Mechanics (Higher), Building Materials and Construction (Higher), Building Drawing & Estimating (Higher), Earth Work and Road Making (Higher), Hydraulics and Irrigation (Higher), Geometrical Drawing (Lower), Mensuration (Lower). • Craftsman Certificate in Draftsman (Civil) or Draftsman (Mechanical) or Survey Trade from Industrial Training Centre with 5 years service in KSEB. • KGCE in Civil Engineering. Experience Required: 5 years service in KSEB for those holding Craftsman Certificate. Physical Standards: Not specified Equivalence / KS&SSR Rules: KS&SSR Rule 10(a)(ii) is applicable. Equivalency orders must be produced at the time of certificate verification.
General conditions from the notification
Appointments are subject to KS&SSR Part II and relevant rules of the KSEB. Probation period is 240 days of duty within a continuous period of one year.
