Who can apply
Kerala PSC recruitment notification for the post of Civil Excise Officer Driver in Kerala Excise and Prohibition. Category No: 387/2025. Vacancies: Anticipated Vacancies (District-wise: Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Idukki, Ernakulam, Thrissur, Palakkad, Malappuram, Kozhikode, Wayanad, Kannur, Kasargod). Scale of Pay: ₹ 26,500 – 60,700/-. Method of Appointment: Recruitment by transfer (District wise). Applications must be submitted online on or before 19-11-2025 through Kerala PSC One Time Registration.
Qualifications
Educational Qualifications:
• A pass in SSLC or its equivalent
Technical Qualifications:
• Must possess current valid Heavy Motor Driving License of 3 years standing with endorsement for driving Heavy Goods and Heavy Passenger Vehicles and Drivers Badge
Experience Required:
Must be a probationer/approved probationer/full member of the Subordinate Service in the Last Grade Service in the Kerala Excise and Prohibition Department
Physical Standards:
Height: Not less than 165 cm (160 cm for SC/ST candidates). Chest: 83 cm with a minimum expansion of 4 cm. Must be free from physical defects like knock-knee, flat foot, varicose vein, bow legs, deformed hands and limbs, irregular and protruding teeth, defective speech and hearing. Must possess perfect hearing and specific vision standards (6/6 Snellen for distant vision, 0.5 Snellen for near vision, normal colour vision, no night blindness).
Equivalence / KS&SSR Rules:
KS & SSR Part II Rule 10 (a) (ii) is applicable. Qualifications recognized by Executive orders or standing orders of Government as equivalent to a qualification specified for a post and such of those qualifications which pre-suppose the acquisition of the lower qualifications prescribed for the post shall also be sufficient.

The selection is made on a revenue district basis. Candidates must be probationer/approved probationer/full member of the Subordinate Service. Women and Differently Abled candidates are not eligible. Candidates already in Government service holding this post in any one district are prohibited from applying again for this post. Disciplinary action as per Rule 22 of the KPSC Rules of Procedure 1976 will be taken for bogus claims.
