Who can apply
Kerala PSC recruitment notification for the post of Beat Forest Officer in Forest. Category No: 303/2022 - 305/2022. Vacancies: District wise (Cat 303/2022 Muslim: TVM 1, Pathanamthitta 1, Kottayam 1, Kozhikkode 1; Cat 304/2022 OBC: TVM 1; Cat 305/2022 Viswakarma: Malappuram 1). Scale of Pay: ₹ 20,000 – 45,800/- (PR). Method of Appointment: Direct Recruitment (from candidates belonging to specified reservation communities only). Applications must be submitted online on or before 31-08-2022 through Kerala PSC One Time Registration.
Qualifications
Educational Qualifications:
• Pass in Plus Two Examination conducted by the Board of Higher Secondary Education, Government of Kerala or Equivalent examination recognized by Government of India or Government of Kerala.
Physical Standards:
Male: Height-Minimum 168 cms, Chest-Minimum 81 cms with 5 cms expansion. Physical Efficiency Test (qualify 5 out of 8 events of One Star Standard test) and Endurance Test (2 Km run in 13 minutes). Female: Height-Minimum 157 cms. Physical Efficiency Test (qualify 5 out of 9 events of One Star Standard test) and Endurance Test (2 Km run in 15 minutes). Medical standards: Perfect hearing, visual standards without glasses (Distant Vision 6/6 Snellen for both eyes, Near Vision 0.5 Snellen, Normal colour vision, Nil night blindness), no paralysis, free from physical defects like knock-knee, flat foot, varicose vein, bow legs, deformed limbs, irregular/protesting tooth, defective speech and hearing.
Equivalence / KS&SSR Rules:
KS & SSR Part II Rule 10(a)(ii) is applicable. Candidates who have applied with equivalent qualification instead of qualification mentioned in the notification, should produce the relevant Government order to prove their qualifications equivalency at the time of verification.

General conditions from the notification⌄
Candidates appointed shall undergo training for one year in forest training schools. Probation is for a total period of 2 years on duty within a continuous service of 3 years. NCC weightage marks at 2%, 3% and 5% for A, B, and C certificates respectively.
