Who can apply
Kerala PSC recruitment notification for the post of Physical Education Teacher (UPS) Malayalam Medium in Education. Category No: 13/2014. Vacancies: District wise (Idukki, Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Ernakulam, Palakkad, Malappuram, Kasargod - Anticipated Vacancies). Scale of Pay: 13,210-22,360/-. Method of Appointment: Direct Recruitment. Applications must be submitted online on or before 16-04-2014 through Kerala PSC One Time Registration.
Qualifications
Educational Qualifications:
• A pass in SSLC Examination conducted by the Commissioner for Government Examinations, Kerala or its equivalent.
Technical Qualifications:
• A pass in the Certificate of Physical Education issued by the Commissioner for Government Examinations, Kerala/Karnataka or Tamilnadu
• A pass in the Vocational Higher Secondary Certificate Course in Physical Education conducted by the Board of Vocational Higher Secondary Educations, Kerala or its equivalent
• Any degree in Physical Education (Regular Course) such as B.P.Ed/M.P.Ed etc. conferred or recognised by any of the Universities in Kerala
• Ex-Servicemen of Army/Navy/Air Force who possess SSLC or its equivalent and any one of the following: Physical Training Course of the Armed Forces (The Assistant Instructors Basic Course in Physical Education), The Army Physical Training Corps Instructors Course, Naval Physical Training Corps Instructors Course, or Air Force Ground Training Instructors Course.

Selection is made on a revenue district basis. A candidate advised for appointment in one revenue district is not eligible for transfer to another district unless he or she completes 5 years continuous service. Candidates already in Government service holding this post in any one district are prohibited from applying again. Refer to Part II of the notification for further general conditions.
