Qualifications

Educational Qualifications: • A degree in Arabic conferred or recognized by the Universities in Kerala. • A Title of Oriental Learning in Arabic awarded or recognized by the Universities in Kerala. • A Pass in Pre-Degree with Part III Arabic (Special Optional) of the Calicut University. • A Pass in Plus Two, Part III Arabic (Optional) course conducted by the Board of Higher Secondary Examination in Kerala. • A pass in SSLC Examination conducted by the Commissioner for Government Examinations, Kerala with Arabic under Part I and II first Language. • A pass in SSLC examination conducted by the Commissioner for Government Examinations, Kerala or its equivalent; and any one of the following: 1) A Pass in Arabic Munshi Examination (Higher), 2) A Pass in Arabic Munshi Examination (Lower), 3) A Pass in Arabic Teachers Examination, 4) A Pass in Arabic Entrance Examination of the Kerala and Calicut Universities. • BA Arabic & Islamic History double main degree awarded or recognised by Universities in Kerala. Technical Qualifications: • Must have passed the Kerala Teacher Eligibility Test -IV (K.TET IV) for the post conducted by the Government of Kerala. Experience Required: 5 Years service as Clerk/Typist/Attender/Office Attendant/Full Time Menial in the General Education Department as on the date of application. Physical Standards: Not applicable Equivalence / KS&SSR Rules: Rule 10(a)(ii) of Part II KS&SSR is applicable. Candidates claiming equivalent qualification should produce relevant Government Orders during verification.

General conditions from the notification
Candidates must be an approved probationer/full member of the Kerala General Education Department. Selection is on a revenue district basis. Rules regarding reservation (Rules 14 to 17 in Part II of KS&SSR) are not applicable to recruitment by transfer. KS&SSR Part I, Rule 2 (13) is applicable.
