Educational Qualifications: • Pass in SSLC or equivalent qualification. Technical Qualifications: • KGTE/MGTE in Surveying and Levelling (Lower) and any two of the following subjects under KGTE/MGTE: (a) Building Drawing and Estimating (Lower) (b) Building Materials and Construction (Lower) (c) Earth Work and Road Making (Lower) (d) Hydraulics and Irrigation Engineering (Lower) (e) Mensuration (Lower) OR • Certificate in Surveyor Trade obtained from the Director General, Employment and Training under the Draftsman Training Scheme. OR • ITI Certificate in Draftsman (Civil) or Mechanical Trade. OR • Diploma in Agricultural and Rural Engineering of not less than 2 years duration awarded by Kerala Agricultural University or recognized as equivalent by Kerala Agricultural University. Equivalence / KS&SSR Rules: KS&SSR Part II Rule 10 (a) (ii) is applicable. Equivalency certificates must be produced at the time of verification if claimed.

Kerala PSC gives the age limit as a range of birth dates, for example “18–36: only candidates born between 02.01.1989 and 01.01.2007 (both dates included)”. Ages are counted on 1 January of the recruitment year, so an upper age of 36 in 2025 means you must be born on or after 2 January 1989. Relaxations move that earliest date back.
With relaxations, the upper age cannot go beyond 50.

Some notifications say relaxations do not apply, and the checker then uses the range as printed. By-transfer posts, special recruitments, NCA notifications and rules for widows are flagged with “Check the notification” instead of a verdict. The qualification guide compares levels only, not subjects. Always confirm in the official notification before you apply.
