Educational Qualifications: • Must have passed the Plus Two Examination or its equivalent. Physical Standards: The minimum height shall be 152 cms. Endurance Test: Run 2.5 Kilometers race within 15 minutes. Physical Efficiency Test: Must qualify in any five events out of eight events specified (100M run, High Jump, Long Jump, Putting the Shot, 200M run, Throwing the throw ball, Shuttle Race, Skipping). Physique and Eye sight: Must be certified by a Medical Officer not below the rank of an Assistant Surgeon/Junior consultant as to physical fitness. Visual standards: Distant Vision 6/6 Snellen (Right & Left Eye), Near Vision 0.5 Snellen (Right & Left Eye). Full field of vision required. Equivalence / KS&SSR Rules: Rule 10(a)(ii) of Part II of KS & SSR is applicable.

Kerala PSC gives the age limit as a range of birth dates, for example “18–36: only candidates born between 02.01.1989 and 01.01.2007 (both dates included)”. Ages are counted on 1 January of the recruitment year, so an upper age of 36 in 2025 means you must be born on or after 2 January 1989. Relaxations move that earliest date back.
With relaxations, the upper age cannot go beyond 50.

Some notifications say relaxations do not apply, and the checker then uses the range as printed. By-transfer posts, special recruitments, NCA notifications and rules for widows are flagged with “Check the notification” instead of a verdict. The qualification guide compares levels only, not subjects. Always confirm in the official notification before you apply.
