Educational Qualifications: • Pass in Higher Secondary (Plus Two) Examination or its equivalent Physical Standards: Height: A minimum of 157 cm. Eye sight: Must be certified to possess the visual standards specified below without glasses (Distant Vision: Right Eye 6/6 Snellen, Left Eye 6/6 Snellen; Near Vision: Right Eye 0.5 Snellen, Left Eye 0.5 Snellen). Each eye must have full field of vision. Colour blindness, squint or any morbid conditions of the eye or lids of either eye shall be a disqualification. Must be free from apparent physical defects like knock-knee, flat foot, varicose veins, deformed limbs, irregular and protruding teeth, defective speech and hearing. Equivalence / KS&SSR Rules: Rule 10 (a) (ii) of Part II of the KS&SSR is applicable.

Kerala PSC gives the age limit as a range of birth dates, for example “18–36: only candidates born between 02.01.1989 and 01.01.2007 (both dates included)”. Ages are counted on 1 January of the recruitment year, so an upper age of 36 in 2025 means you must be born on or after 2 January 1989. Relaxations move that earliest date back.
With relaxations, the upper age cannot go beyond 50.

Some notifications say relaxations do not apply, and the checker then uses the range as printed. By-transfer posts, special recruitments, NCA notifications and rules for widows are flagged with “Check the notification” instead of a verdict. The qualification guide compares levels only, not subjects. Always confirm in the official notification before you apply.
