Educational Qualifications: • Pass in Plus Two or its equivalent. Experience Required: Not applicable Physical Standards: Height: General - 152 cms, SC/ST - 150 cms. Must have proficiency in swimming (50M swimming trial within 2 minutes 15 seconds and 2 minutes floating ability). Must possess specified visual standards without glasses (Distant vision 6/6 snellen, Near vision 0.5 snellen, Full Field of Vision, no colour blindness or morbid conditions). Must qualify in at least 5 out of 8 items in the Physical Efficiency Test of National One Star Standard. Equivalence / KS&SSR Rules: KS&SSR Part-II Rule 10 (a) (ii) is applicable.

Kerala PSC gives the age limit as a range of birth dates, for example “18–36: only candidates born between 02.01.1989 and 01.01.2007 (both dates included)”. Ages are counted on 1 January of the recruitment year, so an upper age of 36 in 2025 means you must be born on or after 2 January 1989. Relaxations move that earliest date back.
With relaxations, the upper age cannot go beyond 50.

Some notifications say relaxations do not apply, and the checker then uses the range as printed. By-transfer posts, special recruitments, NCA notifications and rules for widows are flagged with “Check the notification” instead of a verdict. The qualification guide compares levels only, not subjects. Always confirm in the official notification before you apply.
