Educational Qualifications: • A Degree in Zoology or Botany or Forestry or Veterinary Science from a University, Institution or Deemed University recognized by Government of India or Government of Kerala. Experience Required: Not specified Physical Standards: Male: Height not less than 168cm, chest 81cm with 5cm expansion. Female: Height not less than 157cm. Both must qualify in the National Physical Efficiency One Star Standard Test. Must possess perfect hearing, 6/6 distant vision, 0.5 near vision, normal colour vision, no night blindness, no paralysis, and be free from infectious diseases. Equivalence / KS&SSR Rules: Rule 10 (a)(ii) of Part II KS & SSR is applicable.

How the age check works

Kerala PSC gives the age limit as a range of birth dates, for example “18–36: only candidates born between 02.01.1989 and 01.01.2007 (both dates included)”. Ages are counted on 1 January of the recruitment year, so an upper age of 36 in 2025 means you must be born on or after 2 January 1989. Relaxations move that earliest date back.

With relaxations, the upper age cannot go beyond 50.

For a 2025 post with the range 18–36 (born 02.01.1989 – 01.01.2007).

What the checker does not decide

Some notifications say relaxations do not apply, and the checker then uses the range as printed. By-transfer posts, special recruitments, NCA notifications and rules for widows are flagged with “Check the notification” instead of a verdict. The qualification guide compares levels only, not subjects. Always confirm in the official notification before you apply.
