18-39. Only candidates born between 02.01.1983 and 01.01.2004 (both dates included) are eligible to apply for this post. In the case of candidates belonging to Adult members of Scheduled Caste and their children when such adult members are converted to Christianity the upper age limit will be 41 years, i.e., such candidates should be born between 02.01.1981 and 01.01.2004 (both dates included).

Educational Qualifications: • Pass in SSLC or its equivalent qualification Equivalence / KS&SSR Rules: Rule 10a (ii) of the Part II of KS&SSR is applicable for selection to this post. Candidates who claim equivalent qualification instead of qualification mentioned in the notification shall produce equivalency certificate from the concerned institution / the relevant Government Order to prove the equivalency at the time of Certificate verification, then only such qualification shall be treated as equivalent to the prescribed qualification.

Kerala PSC gives the age limit as a range of birth dates, for example “18–36: only candidates born between 02.01.1989 and 01.01.2007 (both dates included)”. Ages are counted on 1 January of the recruitment year, so an upper age of 36 in 2025 means you must be born on or after 2 January 1989. Relaxations move that earliest date back.
With relaxations, the upper age cannot go beyond 50.

Some notifications say relaxations do not apply, and the checker then uses the range as printed. By-transfer posts, special recruitments, NCA notifications and rules for widows are flagged with “Check the notification” instead of a verdict. The qualification guide compares levels only, not subjects. Always confirm in the official notification before you apply.
