Educational Qualifications: • Diploma in Agricultural and Rural Engineering from Kerala Agricultural University Technical Qualifications: • National Trade Certificate in any of the following trades from an ITI: Mechanic (Tractor), Mechanic (Motor Vehicle), Mechanic (Diesel), or Fitter • Valid Tractor Driving License Experience Required: Not less than one year of practical experience in the relevant trade after obtaining the ITI Trade Certificate. A practical test will be conducted by the Commission to determine proficiency. Physical Standards: Must be physically fit for the post. Medical certificate from a Medical Officer not below the rank of Assistant Surgeon and a vision certificate from an Ophthalmologist in Government Service are required. Equivalence / KS&SSR Rules: KS&SSR Part II Rule 10(a)(ii) is applicable. Equivalency will be considered only if the candidate produces a Government Order proving the qualification is equivalent at the time of OTR verification or as requested by the Commission.

Kerala PSC gives the age limit as a range of birth dates, for example “18–36: only candidates born between 02.01.1989 and 01.01.2007 (both dates included)”. Ages are counted on 1 January of the recruitment year, so an upper age of 36 in 2025 means you must be born on or after 2 January 1989. Relaxations move that earliest date back.
With relaxations, the upper age cannot go beyond 50.

Some notifications say relaxations do not apply, and the checker then uses the range as printed. By-transfer posts, special recruitments, NCA notifications and rules for widows are flagged with “Check the notification” instead of a verdict. The qualification guide compares levels only, not subjects. Always confirm in the official notification before you apply.
