Educational Qualifications: • Should be a Graduate of a recognized University. Experience Required: Should have at least 7 years experience of Mass Communication / Field Publicity in a Government organization or quasi-Government organization or Government owned company or Government owned corporation or any company registered under the Indian Companies Act. (Desirable: Experience of working in the development / Agriculture / Health / Family Planning Programme.) Equivalence / KS&SSR Rules: Rule 10 a (ii) of part II KS & SSR is applicable. Candidates who claim equivalent qualifications instead of qualification mentioned in the notification shall produce the relevant Government Order to prove the equivalency at the time of Verification, then only such qualification shall be treated as equivalent to the prescribed qualification concerned.

Kerala PSC gives the age limit as a range of birth dates, for example “18–36: only candidates born between 02.01.1989 and 01.01.2007 (both dates included)”. Ages are counted on 1 January of the recruitment year, so an upper age of 36 in 2025 means you must be born on or after 2 January 1989. Relaxations move that earliest date back.
With relaxations, the upper age cannot go beyond 50.

Some notifications say relaxations do not apply, and the checker then uses the range as printed. By-transfer posts, special recruitments, NCA notifications and rules for widows are flagged with “Check the notification” instead of a verdict. The qualification guide compares levels only, not subjects. Always confirm in the official notification before you apply.
