19-30; Candidates born between 02.01.1986 and 01.01.1997 (both dates included) are eligible to apply for the post with usual age relaxation to Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Communities. In the case of Ex-servicemen the maximum age limit will be 37 (thirty seven) years irrespective of caste.

Educational Qualifications: • Degree in Science or Engineering from a University, Institution or Deemed University recognized by Government of India or Government of Kerala with at least one of the following subjects: Agriculture, Botany, Chemistry, Computer Application/Computer Science, Engineering (Agricultural/ Chemical/ Civil/ Computer/ Electrical/ Electronics/ Mechanical), Environmental Science, Forestry, Geology, Horticulture, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, Veterinary Science, Zoology. Physical Standards: Men: Height - 163 cms, Chest - 79 cms (normal), Chest expansion - 5 cm. Women: Height - 150 cms. Minimum height and chest measurement for SC/ST candidates relaxed by 5 cm and 2.5 cm respectively (chest expansion 5 cm applicable). Medical Standards: Hearing should be perfect. Distant vision 6/6 snellen, near vision 0.5 snellen, colour vision normal, night blindness nil. No paralysis and all joints with free movements. Perfectly normal nervous system, free from infectious diseases.

Kerala PSC gives the age limit as a range of birth dates, for example “18–36: only candidates born between 02.01.1989 and 01.01.2007 (both dates included)”. Ages are counted on 1 January of the recruitment year, so an upper age of 36 in 2025 means you must be born on or after 2 January 1989. Relaxations move that earliest date back.
With relaxations, the upper age cannot go beyond 50.

Some notifications say relaxations do not apply, and the checker then uses the range as printed. By-transfer posts, special recruitments, NCA notifications and rules for widows are flagged with “Check the notification” instead of a verdict. The qualification guide compares levels only, not subjects. Always confirm in the official notification before you apply.
