18-29. Candidates born between 02.01.1986 and 01.01.1997 are eligible to apply for this post (both dates included) and candidates who have converted to Christianity from SC community after attaining 18 years and children of such parents born between 2.1.1984 and 1.1.1997 are eligible to apply for this post (age relaxation as per General conditions 2 (i) of Part II of Gazette).

Educational Qualifications: • Pass in HSE (plus 2) or its equivalent. Physical Standards: Height: A minimum of 168 cm. Chest: 81 cm with a minimum expansion of 5 cm. Eye Sight: Must be certified to possess the visual standards specified below without glasses (Distant Vision: 6/6 Snellen for Right and Left eye, Near Vision: 0.5 Snellen for Right and Left eye). Must qualify in any five events out of eight events specified of the National Physical Efficiency, One Star Standard Test. Equivalence / KS&SSR Rules: KS & SSR Part II Rule 10 (a) ii is applicable.

Kerala PSC gives the age limit as a range of birth dates, for example “18–36: only candidates born between 02.01.1989 and 01.01.2007 (both dates included)”. Ages are counted on 1 January of the recruitment year, so an upper age of 36 in 2025 means you must be born on or after 2 January 1989. Relaxations move that earliest date back.
With relaxations, the upper age cannot go beyond 50.

Some notifications say relaxations do not apply, and the checker then uses the range as printed. By-transfer posts, special recruitments, NCA notifications and rules for widows are flagged with “Check the notification” instead of a verdict. The qualification guide compares levels only, not subjects. Always confirm in the official notification before you apply.
