Educational Qualifications: • Bachelor in Physical Education (B.PED) from a recognized university Technical Qualifications: • Desirable: Experience in organising sports/Games activities in the District/State/National levels. • Desirable: Certificate of Training in the National Institute of sports Patiala/Banglore. Experience Required: A minimum of 10 years experience as a Physical Education Teacher, preferably in a High School (Government or Aided). Experience claimed shall be one gained after acquiring the basic qualification for the post. Physical Standards: Not specified, but note that physically handicapped persons are not eligible to apply for the post. Equivalence / KS&SSR Rules: Rule 10 a (ii) of Part II KS&SSR is applicable.

Kerala PSC gives the age limit as a range of birth dates, for example “18–36: only candidates born between 02.01.1989 and 01.01.2007 (both dates included)”. Ages are counted on 1 January of the recruitment year, so an upper age of 36 in 2025 means you must be born on or after 2 January 1989. Relaxations move that earliest date back.
With relaxations, the upper age cannot go beyond 50.

Some notifications say relaxations do not apply, and the checker then uses the range as printed. By-transfer posts, special recruitments, NCA notifications and rules for widows are flagged with “Check the notification” instead of a verdict. The qualification guide compares levels only, not subjects. Always confirm in the official notification before you apply.
