Being Recruitment By Transfer, age limit will not be applicable to this selection. But the Candidates selected for appointment must not have completed 56 (fifty six) years of age at the time of appointment.

By-transfer recruitment is open only to serving employees named in the notification.
Experience Required: Service not less than 5 (Five) years as Village Extension Officer (5 Years service should be completed before last date fixed for receipt of application). The period of pre-service training will not be counted as service in this case.

Kerala PSC gives the age limit as a range of birth dates, for example “18–36: only candidates born between 02.01.1989 and 01.01.2007 (both dates included)”. Ages are counted on 1 January of the recruitment year, so an upper age of 36 in 2025 means you must be born on or after 2 January 1989. Relaxations move that earliest date back.
With relaxations, the upper age cannot go beyond 50.

Some notifications say relaxations do not apply, and the checker then uses the range as printed. By-transfer posts, special recruitments, NCA notifications and rules for widows are flagged with “Check the notification” instead of a verdict. The qualification guide compares levels only, not subjects. Always confirm in the official notification before you apply.
