Educational Qualifications: • A Degree in forestry from Kerala Agriculture University or any Equivalent degree from any University, Institution or Deemed university recognized by Government of India or Government of Kerala for this purpose. Experience Required: None Physical Standards: Male: Height not less than 158 cms, chest 76.5 cms with minimum expansion of 5 cms. Female: Height not less than 145 cms. Both: Perfect hearing, Distant vision 6/6 snellen, Near vision 0.5 snellen, Colour vision Normal, No night blindness, No paralysis, Normal nervous system. Equivalence / KS&SSR Rules: KS & SSR Part II Rule 10(a)(ii) is applicable. Candidates who have applied with equivalent qualification instead of qualification mentioned in the notification, should produce the relevant Government order to prove their qualifications equivalency at the time of verification.

Kerala PSC gives the age limit as a range of birth dates, for example “18–36: only candidates born between 02.01.1989 and 01.01.2007 (both dates included)”. Ages are counted on 1 January of the recruitment year, so an upper age of 36 in 2025 means you must be born on or after 2 January 1989. Relaxations move that earliest date back.
With relaxations, the upper age cannot go beyond 50.

Some notifications say relaxations do not apply, and the checker then uses the range as printed. By-transfer posts, special recruitments, NCA notifications and rules for widows are flagged with “Check the notification” instead of a verdict. The qualification guide compares levels only, not subjects. Always confirm in the official notification before you apply.
