18-39. Candidates should have been born between 02.01.1984 and 01.01.2005 (both dates included). (Including the relaxations given in paragraph 2(i) of the General Conditions). For candidates who converted to Christianity from SC after attaining majority, the age limit is 18-41 (born between 02.01.1982 and 01.01.2005).

Educational Qualifications: • Must have passed VII Standard. Should not have acquired any higher degree. Physical Standards: Must possess good physique and should be free from physical deformity and diseases of any description. Physical fitness shall be certified by a Medical Officer not below the rank of an Assistant Surgeon in Government Service. Equivalence / KS&SSR Rules: KS&SSR Part II Rule 10 (a) (ii) is applicable. Government orders regarding equivalent/higher qualifications shall be produced at the time of PSC demand.

Kerala PSC gives the age limit as a range of birth dates, for example “18–36: only candidates born between 02.01.1989 and 01.01.2007 (both dates included)”. Ages are counted on 1 January of the recruitment year, so an upper age of 36 in 2025 means you must be born on or after 2 January 1989. Relaxations move that earliest date back.
With relaxations, the upper age cannot go beyond 50.

Some notifications say relaxations do not apply, and the checker then uses the range as printed. By-transfer posts, special recruitments, NCA notifications and rules for widows are flagged with “Check the notification” instead of a verdict. The qualification guide compares levels only, not subjects. Always confirm in the official notification before you apply.
