Educational Qualifications: • Literacy in Malayalam or Tamil or Kannada Technical Qualifications: • Current Motor Driving Licence with endorsement for driving Heavy Duty Vehicle and Motor Cycle • Must possess valid Driving Licence and badge throughout all stages of selection Experience Required: Three years experience in driving Heavy Duty vehicle either Military or Civil. Driving Licence issued after 16.01.1979 must have endorsement both for heavy Goods and heavy passenger Vehicles. Physical Standards: Distant vision: 6/6 Snellen (both eyes), Near vision: 0.5 Snellen (both eyes), Normal colour vision, Nil night blindness. Must be free from paralysis, infectious diseases, and have perfect hearing. Equivalence / KS&SSR Rules: Rule 10 (a)(ii) of Part II of KS & SSR is applicable.

Kerala PSC gives the age limit as a range of birth dates, for example “18–36: only candidates born between 02.01.1989 and 01.01.2007 (both dates included)”. Ages are counted on 1 January of the recruitment year, so an upper age of 36 in 2025 means you must be born on or after 2 January 1989. Relaxations move that earliest date back.
With relaxations, the upper age cannot go beyond 50.

Some notifications say relaxations do not apply, and the checker then uses the range as printed. By-transfer posts, special recruitments, NCA notifications and rules for widows are flagged with “Check the notification” instead of a verdict. The qualification guide compares levels only, not subjects. Always confirm in the official notification before you apply.
