Educational Qualifications: • A Pass in standard VII or equivalent qualification. Technical Qualifications: • Must possess current Motor Driving Licence to drive Light Motor Vehicles and Heavy Motor vehicles with Driver's Badge. • Heavy Motor Vehicle Driving Licence shall be of at least 3 years standing and in the case of Driving Licence issued after 16.01.1979 separate endorsement to drive Heavy duty Goods Vehicles and Heavy Duty Passenger Vehicles. Physical Standards: Medical Fitness : Should be medically fit as per standards specified: (i) Ear :- Hearing should be perfect. (ii) Eye :- Distant Vision :- 6/6 snellen, Near Vision :- 0.5 snellen, Colour Vision :- Normal, Night Blindness :- Nil. (iii) Muscles and Joints :- No Paralysis and all joints with free movements. (iv) Nervous System :- Perfectly normal , free from any infectious diseases. Equivalence / KS&SSR Rules: Rule 10(a)ii of Part II of KS&SSR is applicable.

Kerala PSC gives the age limit as a range of birth dates, for example “18–36: only candidates born between 02.01.1989 and 01.01.2007 (both dates included)”. Ages are counted on 1 January of the recruitment year, so an upper age of 36 in 2025 means you must be born on or after 2 January 1989. Relaxations move that earliest date back.
With relaxations, the upper age cannot go beyond 50.

Some notifications say relaxations do not apply, and the checker then uses the range as printed. By-transfer posts, special recruitments, NCA notifications and rules for widows are flagged with “Check the notification” instead of a verdict. The qualification guide compares levels only, not subjects. Always confirm in the official notification before you apply.
