19-36 Only candidates born between 02.01.1989 and 01.01.2006 (both dates included) are eligible to apply for this post. Other Backward Communities and SC/ST candidates are eligible for usual age relaxation (maximum age limit shall in no case exceed 50 years).

Educational Qualifications: • Diploma in Agricultural and Rural Engineering awarded by the Kerala Agricultural University. • National Trade Certificate in any of the following trades from I.T.I. (in the absence of persons with Diploma): (a) Mechanic (Tractor), (b) Mechanic (Motor vehicle), (c) Mechanic (Diesel), (d) Fitter Technical Qualifications: • The candidates should possess a valid Tractor Driving Licence. • Proficiency in the field of work will be assessed in a practical test conducted by the Public Service Commission. Experience Required: Practical experience of not less than one year in the trade (acquired after the acquisition of I.T.I. Trade certificate) - applicable for I.T.I. certificate holders. Physical Standards: Must be physically fit for the post and possess prescribed standards of vision (Distant vision 6/6 snellen for both eyes, near vision 0.5 snellen, full field of vision, no colour blindness, night blindness, etc.). Equivalence / KS&SSR Rules: Rule 10 (a)(ii) of Part II of KS & SSR is applicable.

Kerala PSC gives the age limit as a range of birth dates, for example “18–36: only candidates born between 02.01.1989 and 01.01.2007 (both dates included)”. Ages are counted on 1 January of the recruitment year, so an upper age of 36 in 2025 means you must be born on or after 2 January 1989. Relaxations move that earliest date back.
With relaxations, the upper age cannot go beyond 50.

Some notifications say relaxations do not apply, and the checker then uses the range as printed. By-transfer posts, special recruitments, NCA notifications and rules for widows are flagged with “Check the notification” instead of a verdict. The qualification guide compares levels only, not subjects. Always confirm in the official notification before you apply.
