Educational Qualifications: • Pass in SSLC or its equivalent examination conducted by the Commissioner for Government Examinations, Kerala. Technical Qualifications: • Nursery Training Certificate (NTC) awarded by the former Travancore-Cochin Government / Government of Travancore / Government of Cochin. • OR • Nursery Training Certificate awarded by the Indian State Council for Child Welfare. • OR • Bala Sevika Training Certificate awarded by the State Council for Child Welfare. • OR • Pre-Primary Teachers' Training Certificate awarded by the Commissioner for Government Examinations, Kerala. • Note: Preference will be given to those who have passed TTC or T.S.L.C. in addition to the above qualifications. Equivalence / KS&SSR Rules: KS & SSR Part II Rule 10 a (ii) is applicable. Government Order in proof of equivalency of qualification shall be produced at the time of verification.

Kerala PSC gives the age limit as a range of birth dates, for example “18–36: only candidates born between 02.01.1989 and 01.01.2007 (both dates included)”. Ages are counted on 1 January of the recruitment year, so an upper age of 36 in 2025 means you must be born on or after 2 January 1989. Relaxations move that earliest date back.
With relaxations, the upper age cannot go beyond 50.

Some notifications say relaxations do not apply, and the checker then uses the range as printed. By-transfer posts, special recruitments, NCA notifications and rules for widows are flagged with “Check the notification” instead of a verdict. The qualification guide compares levels only, not subjects. Always confirm in the official notification before you apply.
