Technical Qualifications: • National Trade Certificate (NTC) awarded by the National Council for Vocational Training in the trade of Electrician/ Mechanic Motor Vehicle/ Electrical/ Mechanical after the completion of 2 year course or its equivalent. • OR Kerala Government Certificate Examination in Engineering in Electrical issued by Government of Kerala after the completion of 2 year course or its equivalent. Experience Required: Must be an in-service personnel working in any of the lower categories included under GO(P) No.1/2023/WRD dated 27.01.2023 rules or under Kerala Water Authority (Administrative, Ministerial and Last Grade) Service Rules, 2011 for a period of not less than 2 years. Physical Standards: Not specified Equivalence / KS&SSR Rules: Rule 10(a)(ii) of Part II of KS&SSR is applicable. Higher qualifications or qualifications recognized by Executive/Standing Orders as equivalent are acceptable.

Kerala PSC gives the age limit as a range of birth dates, for example “18–36: only candidates born between 02.01.1989 and 01.01.2007 (both dates included)”. Ages are counted on 1 January of the recruitment year, so an upper age of 36 in 2025 means you must be born on or after 2 January 1989. Relaxations move that earliest date back.
With relaxations, the upper age cannot go beyond 50.

Some notifications say relaxations do not apply, and the checker then uses the range as printed. By-transfer posts, special recruitments, NCA notifications and rules for widows are flagged with “Check the notification” instead of a verdict. The qualification guide compares levels only, not subjects. Always confirm in the official notification before you apply.
