19-33. Candidates must have been born between 02.01.1988 and 01.01.2002 (both dates included). For SCCV candidates converted from SC religion after turning 18, age limit is 19-35 (born between 02.01.1986 and 01.01.2002). Other age relaxations as per general conditions.

Educational Qualifications: • Must have passed Plus Two Examination conducted by the Board of Higher Secondary Education, Government of Kerala or equivalent examination recognized by the Government of Kerala or Government of India. Physical Standards: For Male Candidates: Height - minimum 168 cm, Chest - minimum 81 cm with a minimum expansion of 5 cm. Must qualify in 5 out of 8 events of National Physical Efficiency One Star test. Endurance test: 2 km run within 13 minutes. For Female Candidates: Height - minimum 157 cm. Must qualify in 5 out of 9 events of National Physical Efficiency One Star test. Endurance test: 2 km run within 15 minutes. Equivalence / KS&SSR Rules: KS&SSR Part II Rule 10(a)(ii) is applicable.

Kerala PSC gives the age limit as a range of birth dates, for example “18–36: only candidates born between 02.01.1989 and 01.01.2007 (both dates included)”. Ages are counted on 1 January of the recruitment year, so an upper age of 36 in 2025 means you must be born on or after 2 January 1989. Relaxations move that earliest date back.
With relaxations, the upper age cannot go beyond 50.

Some notifications say relaxations do not apply, and the checker then uses the range as printed. By-transfer posts, special recruitments, NCA notifications and rules for widows are flagged with “Check the notification” instead of a verdict. The qualification guide compares levels only, not subjects. Always confirm in the official notification before you apply.
