Educational Qualifications: • 8th Standard Pass or Army Second Class or its equivalent qualification Physical Standards: Height : 165 cms, Chest (Normal) : 80 cm, Chest (On expansion) : 85 cm. (Minimum height and chest measurement shall be 160 cm and 75 cm respectively for SC/ST candidates. The Minimum Chest expansion of 5 cm shall however be applicable to them also.) Equivalence / KS&SSR Rules: KS&SSR Part-II Rule 10 (a) (ii) is applicable. In addition to the qualifications prescribed in the notification, the qualifications recognized by executive orders or standing orders of Government as equivalent or those which pre-suppose the acquisition of lower qualification prescribed for the post shall be sufficient.

Kerala PSC gives the age limit as a range of birth dates, for example “18–36: only candidates born between 02.01.1989 and 01.01.2007 (both dates included)”. Ages are counted on 1 January of the recruitment year, so an upper age of 36 in 2025 means you must be born on or after 2 January 1989. Relaxations move that earliest date back.
With relaxations, the upper age cannot go beyond 50.

Some notifications say relaxations do not apply, and the checker then uses the range as printed. By-transfer posts, special recruitments, NCA notifications and rules for widows are flagged with “Check the notification” instead of a verdict. The qualification guide compares levels only, not subjects. Always confirm in the official notification before you apply.
