Educational Qualifications: • Pass in SSLC or its equivalent. • Three year Diploma in Automobile Engineering or Mechanical Engineering obtained from a State Board of Technical Education or from any Central/State Government recognized Institution. Technical Qualifications: • Must possess current valid Driving Licence authorizing him to drive Motorcycle, Heavy Goods Vehicles, and Heavy Passenger Motor Vehicles. Physical Standards: Height: Men - minimum 160 cm, Women - minimum 150 cm. Chest: Men - 81 cm with minimum 5 cm expansion. Vision Standards: Distant vision - 6/6 Snellen for both eyes, Near vision - 0.5 Snellen for both eyes. Must have full field of vision. Colour blindness, squint, or any morbid conditions of the eyes or lids are disqualifications. Equivalence / KS&SSR Rules: KS&SSR Rule 10(a)(ii) is applicable. Government orders regarding equivalent qualifications shall be produced when called for.

Kerala PSC gives the age limit as a range of birth dates, for example “18–36: only candidates born between 02.01.1989 and 01.01.2007 (both dates included)”. Ages are counted on 1 January of the recruitment year, so an upper age of 36 in 2025 means you must be born on or after 2 January 1989. Relaxations move that earliest date back.
With relaxations, the upper age cannot go beyond 50.

Some notifications say relaxations do not apply, and the checker then uses the range as printed. By-transfer posts, special recruitments, NCA notifications and rules for widows are flagged with “Check the notification” instead of a verdict. The qualification guide compares levels only, not subjects. Always confirm in the official notification before you apply.
